The hardest part of loving a Coton

Spring is often associated with rebirth and new beginnings. But as one season begins, another ends. This season we've lost 2 dear Coton friends. Tuffy was one of the first visitors to this site and his proud mom, Iris shared so many stories and lots of advice for new Coton parents.

Last month we also lost Angelique whose heart gave out, but whose life filled his mom's heart with unconditional love.

We are grateful for the time we had with Tuffy and Angelique and wish peace and healing to their human parents.

Even though we go into our relationship with our pets knowing it's for a short time, it's NEVER easy when we have to say goodbye. It doesn't matter if it's after one year or 20 years - it's just not long enough for a dog who showed us what unconditional love looks like.

There is no one correct way to grieve the loss of a pet. Everyone grieves differently. This article has some helpful information if you or a loved one is dealing with this kind of pain. It also includes some hotline numbers and resources to help you get through the grief.
