Barking and aggression towards some dogs

My 4 year old Coton barks aggressively at dogs when he sees the dogs in my condo area. I can take him to the pet store and he ignores the dogs there. What can I do ?

Teach your dog the command quiet. All dogs bark to tell dogs your near my turf. As the dog or person moves away your dog thinks I did that.

After the bark say thank u & quiet. Remember 1st teach quiet. U always teach them to speak 1st b 4 u teach quiet.

I have tried the hand device that gives a sound . I say, "no bark" and press button. He is responding to this. Now, when he starts to bark , I say "no bark" and he just makes a light growl sound. I learned that I was showing too much excitement and yelling at him. I have gotten neighbors who he barked at to give him a treat. Now he is anxious to see them. Working on introducing him to their dogs. Progress slow , but better.

My 6 yr old coton Gabby does the same thing. I wish I could break her of this bad habit, but when I rescued her she seemed to be determined to be the alpha among every dog she sees (or doesn't see, as she does this when she hears dogs somewhere in the distance or on the TV)
