Swimming Coton's

Jonah loves water. Here in Az. the temp has dropped to the 70's. Yesterday we were at friends who have a pool off the patio for Thanksgiving.

As Jonah & his Boston Terrier friend Avi played Jonah keep staring at the water in the pool. Next thing I know he started to put his paw in the water. Then I saw the stance to jump in. I stopped him.

We have a baby pool I get out in the summer at home he also swims at friends in their pool. I am glad he stopped. After that when I went inside he went inside. I see I must never let my 4 yr old alone by a pool.

Can Cotons swim?

That's a great question Iris. I've read that Cotons like to swim but I haven't seen any evidence. We have a lake right outside our back door and Luc will chase ducks and run like crazy right until he gets to the waters edge and then back away.

He seems intrigued by the water, but has never actually jumped in.

I too would love to know if there are any Coton swimmers out there.

At any rate, Cooper sure is cute!!

Does your dog swim?

What a great picture! Does Cooper swim?
Do any other Coton owners have water experience withe their dogs to share?
My Coton Tuffy got his first taste of a pool last summer and was hanging on for dear life, but at the same time seemed to enjoy it.
