Daddy's Good Little Dog

His loyalty and his intelligence. He makes me laugh. Cotton was a rescue and he came with all of his papers. My wife Louise and I fell in love with him at first sight. He immediately adopted me and when I am around, he never leave my side. If I am in the car or driving the tractor, he is there to help. At night, he sleeps beside me and keeps a watchful eye out. I find no fault with my little guy and we have many adventures together. We are fortunate to live in a no leash area so that we can walk for great distances without a leash. All in all, he is both pet and family.

Congrats to you and your wife for rescuing this great little dog. You are fortunate to have gotten papers with him. It sure sounds as though he is a very lucky guy -- as are you. They are an amazing and loving breed and full of cute little antics and sometimes mischief. Good luck with him.

Cotton

What a wonderful story. I grew up in PA for 24 yrs. I now have lived in AZ some 30 yrs. Most yds. are fenced & I am no longer to much of a camper. I often wonder if Cotons like to chase squirrels or rabbits since when I have gone to visit my sister Jonah stays home.

Jonah does not really care to chase cats if friends have them in house but he does like to chase them off the block walls here at home. So does ur Cotton like the thrill of a little chase. If so I can imagine how cute it has to be to watch him in the VA grass & flowers.

In my Simon & Scuster old dog books it talks about yrs ago Cotons could travel for miles along side horses. Also they were shown in the gun group for yrs. I know my Coton could care less if he hears fireworks or a storm. He would lay out in it if he could & has until the lightning starts out here.
