Have a lovely 12 week Coton, great in all ways but one, eats his own poop. Have tried pepper on poop but he now does his poops when we are not looking.
I've just learned of another reason for poop eating, and that is the flavors in commercial dog food, which can survive the digestion process. I've been feeding raw food over ten years and coprophagia has not been an issue with my dogs.

My Coton- Rhylie Girl did that when she was little. I just kept reinforcing to her not to eat it. She eventually outgrew it.

Your vet can give you something to put in his food that will stop him eating his poop. I had a Bichon who did that when he was a pup. We gave him something called Deter. There's also something called Forbid. I think you can buy them both on Amazon, but I'd feel better getting it from the vet with his/her instructions.
