Grooming Jasmine and what happens @ 6 months.

I have taken her to a groomer and she looked really nice. I bathe her every week using puppy shampoo and conditioner. And blow her dry. How do I get the hair around her eyes to stay "up" and not hang into her eyes. Her hair is not long at all as I had to have her shaved because of matts a few weeks ago.

Also, she is now 6 months old. Is she going to go into heat? Will she have a period and if so, what do I do then? How long does it last. I am going to have her spayed but wanted to wait until she was a little older and hopefully not so tramatic for her.

And how do I keep her whiskers from going every which way? Or, am I being too picky?

Grooming after 6mths NEW
by: Anonymous

I had my cotton spayed at 6mths you don't have to wait until after a dog goes into heat the first time. Many vets say this will not affect anything. My cotton was groomed for the first time at 7mths. I brushed so she wouldn't matt & trimmed around her face. Her adult coat was growing in at 7mths this was why I waited to get her groomed.it was a month after she was spayed. If u don't want to bother with the mess when a dog goes into heat then spay her now if she's 6mths. They do have doggy diapers to put on during heat.

hair in eyes NEW
by: Anonymous/joyce

I am having the same problem with Pierre. He is a male so we don't want a bow. I had his hair clipped in front but it grows to fast and it is curly in front so it is always in his eyes. He has very long hair on his body but that is the way we like it. I brush him daily. It's just around the eyes that I have a problem and I'm not sure if I should just let it grow out and maybe slick it back a little with a stiff gel or what???
Any ideas.
