IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING TROUBLE WITH WINTER STATIC AND COTON HAIR?

As you can see Bill has a serious case of static! A few time I have even given him a shock when I touch him. Any ideas?

Our 3 year old male had a lot of problems with
knots & matting as well as static ,keep the humidity in your house to about 40%,and use a
conditioner (I like a product called "The Stuff"
many groomers use this product), every time you brush your dog.It will work.

Rub some oil or hand lotion on your hands and with a little of the excess, just wipe down the hair, running your fingers through it. Try not to give your dog baths in the winter time.It will only dry their skin and hair out and make them itchy. They really don't need to be bathed very often, as long as you're brushing and combing their hair.If your dog's hair is getting static it's because of dry air.Try adding moisture back into the air in the house with a humidifier, or turn the shower on for a few minutes with the door open to add moisture to the air. Sometimes I just bring a kettle full of water to boil, then leave it open to let the steam heat out into the room. It's good for both of us.Happy Holidays,

I always condition the hair & leave on 3-5 mins. Never had a problem after that. Merry Christmas.
