Is my dog a Coton de Tulear or a Maltese?

So I bought a dog from someone and they were saying that she's a maltese, but she's too tall to be a maltese. So I was searching why is she so tall and i came across the Coton de Tulear breed.She's 40cm tall at the end of the head and 31cm at shoulder, so I think she might be the coton variety named Tall Coton. What do you think?

Is it possible to get a DNA test to see if you're baby is a Tall Coton, sure looks like it from what I saw online.

we have a coton that i've thought was just out of breed standard. he's tall and long but looks like a coton every way else. he's a cutie at 25 lbs

The hair looks like a Coton; however, from what I can see of the ears, he doesn't look like a Coton.

She absolutely looks like a Coton. I’m not familiar with Tall Cotons, but she is a beauty. You will love the breed. I have a Black and white male Coton who is 4 years of crazy!
