My Cotons are very affectionate too, especially Gio; he acts like a child all the time. He loves to hug & kiss the minute I open my eyes in the morning. I do not know who enjoys it more…me or him? But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Some say there is a spiritual connection…they may be right.
Every time I had to leave he would stand on his back legs until I pick him up & hug him, we stay absolutely peaceful hugging for a moment refusing to let go.
When I come back home he jumps impatiently with excitement, raising his paws & body up almost like a circus dog – refusing to wait a second longer, it has been too long since we hugged.
After the bath he loves to take a nap, sinking himself in a big plushy towel, melting away, his eyes closed, breathing deeply without a sound. Just like a child.
I do not believe I am holding a little dog in my hands, not a new born baby.
Talking about unconditional love.
