My 12 week old coton doesn't bark, isn't playful and weighs only 2.5 lbs! All she does is lay around....should I be concerned? Vet visit tomorrow.

She just lays around and follows us with her eyes. She was the runt of the litter. First vet visit tomorrow! Should I be concerned?

Quiet little Girl?? Not to worry! NEW

I remember when we got Beamer. He was just 12 weeks old and ever so mellow.. Didn't want to eat much and just was not your typical wild puppy.

Well, he got over it just fine. It took a few months for him to really develop an appetite and develop his adult personality. I don't remember when he actually started barking, but it is now a trait he has perfected quite nicely. He does remain a bit skiddish at times but is extremely friendly and affectionate on his own terms.

I think they are just a little timid at first while they are so small. As for her weight, I think your vet will have to advise you on that.

Well I'll let the vet determine that but she is only 12 wks. Maybe she's just getting her bearings. She's really pretty young to bark. She's actually pretty young that she probably maybe plays a little, eats & sleeps numerous times a day.
