My coton prefers sleeping on tile floors

My coton pants often and prefers to sleep on tile floors instead of crate or dog bed. Is this a normal behavior.

Ours only sleeps on tiles too! Forget the nice baskets and blankets we got him, he sleeps next to them on the cold floor. Who would have thought!!

Our JR likes to do that too. The only thing is as they get older - it seems he has a problem walking sometimes and I believe that's because of the tile floor. We have a basement under the tile - but it's still tile.
