Oliver the Goodboy

Nearly three years ago we lost our little Coton named Keeva. She had kept us on our toes for 10 years. My husband and I, in our 70’s, were devastated and said no more! Losing her was just too painful but the house felt so empty.

One night while messing around on the computer I came across a little boy Coton. He looked so different from our all white Keeva! He was black and white and just adorable! I inquired about him and only 4 days later he was nestled on my chest as my husband drove us home. Talk about spur of the moment impulse buying!

I named the puppy Oliver GoodBoy. It truly was meant to be! A few weeks later my husband had a medical emergency and was flown to a hospital. I remember thinking… “how can I deal with a new little puppy and an ill husband?” But you know that little pup snuggled at night in bed with me, kept me busy enough so I wasn’t dwelling constantly on the “what ifs”, he made me laugh and gave me lots of kisses.

He is the friendliest little guy and we love him so much. He has truly lived up to his name!!! Oliver GoodBoy… you are the best!!!

Coton's are the BEST! NEW
by: Julie Ann

Your Oliver Goodbye is adorable! I love his coloring! Our little tri-colored Maggie arrived at 3:00am on Nov. 6th, she was transported from Oklahoma to Indiana and arrived just as expected. It's been a turbulent time in our country and she has been the constant with her hugs and kisses. She is only a puppy of 10 weeks, but she is so full of love and energy. I have never had a dog (allergies), my husband grew up on a farm with 13 dogs at one time so I am learning all about feeding times and potty training and how she will use her adorable eyes to get chicken from the refrigerator when she just ate her kibbles lol. Our best times are first thing in the morning, I sit in my LaZboy and wake up and Maggie will crawl up and nestle her face into my neck and all is right with the world. I think Coton's would be the secret to world peace of we could get one to every world leader!

They are all spoiled and we love them all the most. Enjoy your sweet baby. They are just our sweetest little children.

Perfect name NEW
by: Gale

Thanks for sharing this beautiful story. Yes, your little Coton (so adorable!) is definitely living up to his name. I also said "no more" after my dog, Luc, passed. But time heals and I can’t imagine my life without Lucy. Best decision ever to love again and I can see you feel the same.
