Pee Stains

Hi everyone, I have a sweet little 5 month old named Biscuit. The problem I seem to be having constantly with her (besides keeping her little paws ever remotely white!) is that anytime she pee's, it gets in the fur right by her little bottom and all in the fur all down her legs! She constantly has a yellow stain and is stinky! I'm having to bathe her a couple times weekly, but it doesn't do much since she is a puppy and pees quite frequently! Any sggestions?!

Show Sheen NEW
by: Vicky & Jonah

I was told 2 say away from products w/a Silicone base from a Coton breeder & a lady who raises Havanese. I used to use Cowboy Magic after baths but found I started getting more hair breakage.

Since a horses hair is stronger Silicone works for it. Now I will comb Jonah out b4 baths & put it on for a day then wash out & was told that was alright but not to leave in after a bath.

I also found when I used it after baths it was also a dirt magnet.

They also turned me on 2 using Peoples Bio Groom Silk 6/1 as a spray when brushing or Pantene intense repair at times since their hair is more humane like which I have had success when needed & saves from buying xtra. AZ gets so dry it helps w/anti static.

Mostly I just use Espree Silky Show or White w/no conditioner

Trim NEW

We have our adult Sophie and puppy Bella (4 months)in hygienic or sanitary cuts--shaved around the private parts. This helps tremendously and is especially important for females. You don't want them to stay wet after urinating as this can lead to infection. Even so, I have a container of baby wipes handy!

Pee Stains on Coton NEW
by: Kathy

There's a product that groomers and "show dog" people use a lot that repels dirt and urine on animal fur/hair. It's called "Show Sheen". It was originally developed for use on show horses, to keep them clean & shiny (including their manes/tails) during shows. I've used it religiously after baths on my Coton, as it works great at repelling dirt/urine in his long hair (it's silicon-based).

After your dog is groomed, clean and completely rinsed, spray his hair with Show Sheen (not near his eyes) and comb/brush/rub through (especially on "high maintenance" areas); then, dry him (or let him dry). You'll feel the difference in his dry hair immediately(super silky).

If you have a hard time finding it: http://www.amazon.com/Absorbine-ShowSheen-Hair-Polish-Sprayer/dp/B000A6XGQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398469729&sr=8-1&keywords=show+sheen

Hope this helps!

Pee Stains NEW

I'm assuming she's peeing from excitement is y the pee gets all ovr. Buy a spray attachment that attaches to your shower & you can spray her off instead of bathing all the time.

The feet do get dirty. It helps if y keep feet trimmed so hair does not touch road surface or where ever she's walking that is attracting the dirt.

You can pick up a spray attachment for $20. At Wal-Mart's, Walgreens any bath store etc. They work grt 8 for baths also to make sure u get all shampoo out which if not will attract dirt.
