problems with eating while tooth loss

My puppy coton is eating less these days. It is probably because he is losing his teeth. Does someone have the same problem? Is this normal?

Basically dogs should b feed twice a day just split amount required per body weight. Myself I believe a little chicken, cottage cheese etc dab on the food will not hurt. No pork. Dogs also will vary food if they receive to many treats.

Try using pieces of their food for training or cheerios since pups learning usually get more treats. What ever food u use for treats remember to subtract from food amount. Save special treats for special tricks like peeing outside. Coming when called.

Learn to make ur own freeze dried beef liver easy. Cook in water cut in chucks put on cookie tray in freezer. Can use immediately. Willstay hard in ur pocket after about a month when it turns lighter color means its done being freeze dried.

Also here in AZ Jonah seems to eat less when heat gets high & sleeps more. But then again so do we. LOl. Good luck.

Bill went through spells and still does when he doesn't eat and has since a puppy. Then that's all he wants to do. Watch him and if you see him losing a lot of weight or changes in how he acts, take him to the vet and have him checked. Have you tried a new food that he might not like?
