Puppy eye 'Fan' hair

My Bijou is 12 weeks and the 'facial fan' hair has completely covered his eyes. About how old are they when it becomes long enough that it falls down the sides if their nose? I really want to try keeping him in full coat so I don't want to cut it, but the poor baby, you can't even see his beautiful eyes. Thanks for your input!

Eye fan hair NEW

This is the hair that looks like a fan. It grows off the bridge of the nose. Not the hair like eye brow area. This is the hair that eventually grows into the long mustache. Was just wondering how long before it gets long enough to start growing downward so it is out of the eyes. Thanks for your input!

Most tye it back w/the tiny little hair rubber bands u can pick up at a Wal-Mart. U do want to keep it out of their eyes.
