Top knot or trimmed?

The hair above the eyes, do you tie it up, keep it short or leave it long? If you tie it up, what is the reason and do they mind?

Train while a puppy to keep it up NEW

Maisie has had a top knot since she was 10 weeks old. She is 10 mos. now and she loves our special grooming time every morning and night! I brush her carefully every morning and put in a new top knot. At 7:30 p.m. every night I gently cut out her band and brush her all over. Maisie loves being massaged and brushed...and kissed! Her top knot keeps hair out of her eyes and I check and clean her eyes twice a day.

Never had a haircut!

Surf is 11yrs old lives on the beaches of California & Costa Rica. Has never had a haircut. Fashions a top knot since it grew king enough to use a rubber band. Most think he’s a female but I believe it’s an IT. Never had a haircut in 11 years only sanitary trims. Love it’s beautiful Lush hair.

We keep our female in a top knot. I can handle all of the grooming, brushing, bathing etc. except for that which my wife handles. As a result, she gets lots of attention (the Coton)
