When to maintain the puppy cut?

Our coton is just around 12 weeks now, and his coat is already getting a bit longer than we imagine it to be. We already know that we want him to have the puppy cut, but when can we start sending him to the groomer's?

I think I might've read somewhere that you have to wait until the puppy's coat changes, before you can send him to the groomer's and get him trimmed.

His coat seems to grow longer by the day, and I just can't imagine having to wait until he's around 7 months until we can give him his first haircut.

Once they have all their shots including 1st rabies their immune system will then protect them to go to the groomer.

Sheldon is now 5 months and we took him for a puppy cut at 13 weeks, since then he's been twice more so I take him approx every 4 weeks. He looks great after!

Jasmine just turned one year old and she has been to the groomer 3 times and is going again next week. I waited until she had all of her shots - probably around 4 months old. I have no desire to keep brushing mats out of my dog and she looks sooo cute with her puppy cut.

We were told to wait until after his shots were all complete! I recall that was at about 5 months. We keep our guy in a puppy cut all the time, easy to keep up with, great if you live in a wooded area, goes every 5 weeks.

I think the important thing is when the puppy has been vaccinated and the vet says that it is ok to go to the groomer.
We like to keep Domino with a puppy cut. Cute and easy to maintain. Especially great for summer!

I was told to take puppy to groomer as esarly ss possible to grt thdm usef to it. I think we took ours around 3 months. I like to keep a puppy cut. Easy to manage and looks cute . We go every 6 weeks
